When our youngest grandchild, Max, was born, I made him a quilt or two while relearning how to sew. These are the quilts for the rest of our grandchildren. Next up, quilts for two great grand daughters, but first I need finish another set of quilts and then get back to painting for a while.

I've been working on this series all winter and  I'm delighted to be able to show them at Salt of the Earth restaurant in Fennville in conjunction with Fernwood 1891, the gallery down Fennville's Main Street which represents my work.

T-shirt quilt

This is a T-shirt quilt I made for my grand daughter Rachel from her high school T-shirts.

I've now made quilts for each of my sisters and each of my children (except one- still thinking about yours, Lizz). My grandson Max has a quilt or two and this is Rachel's- only five grandchildren to go. Those won't all be T-shirt quilts. I need to consult with them about preferences.

A church called to suggest a banner from Emerging Star 3 and after learning some new tricks on Photoshop and working with a great sign company, this is the result. I am pleased with it and so is St Elizabeth Seton in the Chicago area.

This image from my series of Advent Starry Night paintings is being printed onto a large banner. I've never done this process, so I'm excited to see the results!

Two more Brocante quilts

These brocante pattenrs alternate with nine patch blocks. The top lap quilt is for my son Steve. The one on the bottom is for my friend, Kattie. The bottom one incorporates four friendship stars and a North Star in the center along with the nine patch blocks.
