The Edge of the Sunflower Field has a frame on it and the Elk Rapids Sunflower Field just was finished this morning.

This is a painting waiting for the finishing touches. The focus is the bushes, grasses and weeds at the edge of a sunflower field.

These 3 paintings just sold on Friday. Their next stop is the capable hands of the Fire and Water framer and artist, Deidre Wingelaar. I can't wait to see how she and the new owner decide to frame them!

ADVENT STARRY NIGHT 4

I was amazed to have this piece sell right off the work table at Fire and Water today. What a delight! While the new owners went to lunch at the Flat River Grill, I put a few finishing touches on it, signed it and put on an acrylic finish. It's really fun to keep visiting this theme. What an amazing night that must have been. Obviously other people feel the same way.

These abstractions have been waiting to be called finished for a year or two. I've decided I like them just the way they are and I hope someone else does too. I'm wiring them and they're going into the bins for the ART Jam in Fennville.

These photos are from a boat ride we took along the Pictured Rocks shoreline. As you can see, they are paintings all by themselves by the best artist ever!

SUMMERS DAY

This is an older painting on paper that was just the right fit for a frame that was underutilized. Off to Fire and Water Art tomorrow.

The beginning sketch for the sunflowers (I always love this stage of painting) and the final piece which is heading to Fire and Water Art! in Lowell tomorrow.

I updated a painting of sunflowers. It took all weekend to rework them, but they look better to me.
