Fall art shows
I just hung 37 paintings for my solo show at Church of the Servant CRC (I did it with the help of my wonderful husband). These are postcards I made through Vistaprint to advertise the show.

more tweaking
Here I am minding my own business and an orchard showed up at the party! Some paintings are quick, some are even done alla prima which means "all at once", others develop over time like this one.
This is not the only thing I'm doing now. I'm also preparing for a few shows and making labels and artist statements. Planning timing and placement of pieces. A job for today is to work on new 'shameless self-promotion' postcards for the fall. All this takes time.
Also, we are looking forward to a reception at Meijer Gardens for Lizz and Colin to celebrate their new marriage. Most of those details are done and we're just anticipating!

MUSIC OF THE SPHERES 3- framed
not the fun part
Now comes the time when I'm working and I have nothing visual to post! I'm cutting mats, framing, rearranging things, buying hardware and supplies, planning for two shows, and working on new pieces. None of those things are very photogenic. Unfortunately, math is involved in most of the above as well! I do my best but it's not fun and often, to my chagrin, not accurate! Hopefully it acts like a crossword puzzle and will keep my little gray cells plumped up and alert! I'm at the place in my life where I don't even get mad at myself anymore. Self-acceptance. It is what it is. I am what I am.

FENNVILLE SUITE
These are views of the Fenn Valley Vineyard, Crane Orchards and a windbreak in front of a stand of fruit trees. Fennville is a wonderful area in the palm of the mitten that is Michigan- close to the Lake Michigan shoreline. A beautiful place. Wine tasting at FennValley Winery, pies at Crane Orchards, dinner or lunch at one of the restaurants in town, bread from the Salt of the Earth Bakery (Seedy Salt Bread-wow!) If you've never been there, you should check it out!!
