HURON COUNTY BIRCHES

This piece is hanging in a local gluten-free bakery. Coco Charlotte is at 2481 32nd St SE. It's a tiny place with wonderful products. I have 3 paintings there and I'll change them to a more summery theme in June.

This was a glorious early spring morning with the trees just budding. That is what's happening outside now. One good rain and everything is starting to flourish. The forsythia are covering the city with areas of bright yellow! It reminds me of the poem:

Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

-Robert Frost
