Virginia, this gestural sketch is a confident work of Art, despite, and even due to, the lack of finishing. You wrote about the desire to paint with a freer style, and you've accomplished it here with a pencil.
If you were to perfect the lines and clarify this drawing it would not have the same impact..I really like it, and even without color, feel a lot of energy here.
