HIGGAION #2

In the Psalms, Higgaion is a word that means murmuring of the harp, or intrumental interlude, or meditation. That is what abstract and non-objective compositions are to me ~ a place to rest visually while sorting out the day.

Higgaion #1 is posted July7, 2006.

Virginia,

This is beautiful, perhaps my favorite piece yet.

WHOA!! Your favorite yet? You are a frequent viewer and I take that as a high compliment! Especially from someone with such a gift for abstraction! I think it speaks to your non-objective heart. Thanks, Robin!

I love what you said here about Abstracts being a place to rest visually and sort out the day (which is meditation really), and I'm inspired with a place to start back into my own work after the holidays. Thanks!! There is a melodic peacefulness about this one, V., and what comes through also is that a confident peaceful person has created it. You're well-focussed and off to a good start this year! All The Best to you in 2007.
