HOLLYHOCKS

I took this 12"x24" canvas and primed over an old painting. These hollyhocks flowed onto it while I was at the gallery in Fennville- 89ARTscene- during my shift yesterday.

They didn't just show up unbidden! I've been looking at hollyhocks and sketching and brought along some photos. I've painted hollyhocks before. They are one of my favorite flowers. It was fun to complete a painting again in one sitting. I have too many incomplete projects going! This one is wired and ready to go.

Loved seeing the hollyhocks that magically appeared on your canvas - after a lifetime of doing art, of course. Found you through Bishop Steven.

I've been writing just as long but now also back to my first love and re-doing Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain. Cordially, Garnette Arledge
