SANCTUARY finds a home

This is a 2006 piece that was purchased today. I love it when paintings find their rightful owners!

This is really lovely. Is it on Yupo? I love the figures at the bottom. Incredible.

Thanks, Kelly, no yupo here! It scares me. This is atomized ink over textures and stencils on watercolor paper. I studied with Kathleen Conover and watched the Pat Dews video over and over which helped me develop my techniques.

Oh wow. Wow! I love it! I'd never heard of either of those artists but really connect with both of their works. The Pat Dew DVD looks really cool. (It is now on my Cheap Joes wish list!)

I work as an editor for Creative Catalyst Productions (I found your blog after you left a nice comment on my blog craftamor.blogspot.com :), I'm really glad you like the Virginia Cobb DVD. We spend so much time editing them that it means a lot when we get nice comments.

Also, isn't the atomizer kind of incredible? I've been too timid to try and use one but what a powerful tiny tool.

Yes, Kelly, I remember you.
Don't be timid about the atomizer! (Yupo scares me, but I won't let the atomizer intimidate you!)
I bought a $30 Pat Dews atomizer from Cheap Joe's and liked it so well I bought another! Carrie Burns Brown is also a wonderful artist and I have enjoyed her video.

I've taken 3 workshops with Kathleen Conover- she's fabulous.

Hahaha! OK, well I'm still not sure about the atomizer (maybe in time :) but you have inspired me to go home today and pull out some paint! Happy Tuesday!
