This is Ash Wednesday- this year it's more like snow Wednesday. Many services marking the beginning of Lent are canceled. The snow is a heavy blanket across our area. Maybe the sadness we feel under this crush of weather is a good metaphor for the weight of sin before redemption.

Lots of snow. Lots and lots. In fact, Calvin actually closed the campus due to snow for the first time in recent memory.
I know!! That's a shocker! I was outside and on the roads yesterday. It was treacherous and menacing.
