I read your more recent entry about the anniversary of the Iraq war, before seeing this, which immediately brings to mind Holy War. It's a rather violent piece! Does this reflect those thoughts and emotions of the war; I mean were you feeling the anger and helplessness while creating this one?
Wow! I wasn't thinking violent thoughts at all- that I was aware of! I suppose it could look smudged and bloody. If so perhaps it was more in line with thinking about Christ's sacrifice but it sure could reflect the beating the followers of the cross have taken (and dished out) in the history of Christendom!
