SALVATION COLLAGE

This collage is titled Meditation on the Miracle of Redemption and Eternal Life. It's stitched together in some places like our lives are stitched together. In the messy stitching on the left, the paper is torn and reveals the gold of eternal life. The black and white can be the juxtaposition of good and evil/darkness and light, but in the squares on the bottom they are intended to be abstractions of the open tomb. I did this collage years ago after hearing a sermon where the minister pointed out that the cross wasn't in itself enough for salvation in Christ, the open tomb is essential. His resurrection is what sets us free! Alleluia! I wish you a blessed week, this Easter week.
